Clive Akerman

Geoffrey Clive Akerman is an English philatelist. In 2001, Ackerman and Gavin H. Fryer won the Crawford Medal from The Royal Philatelic Society London for their work "The Reform of the Post Office in the Victorian Era and Its Impact on Economic and Social Activity". He has won numerous other awards for displays at stamp exhibitions.

Akerman is a fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London and editor of the The Revenue Journal, the journal of The Revenue Society. He is an expert on the revenue stamps of Argentina and his multi-volume catalogue on those stamps has become the definitive work on the subject.

Akerman has produced books and written articles for philatelic journals, including The American Revenuer, The Revenue Journal of Great Britain, The Mainsheet, The London Philatelist, Gibbons Stamp Monthly and The Great Britain Journal.
